Honestly, who doesn't love dungeon crawl games?

Lorenzo aveva già scovato qualche indiscrezione, ma Custode ha fatto pieno centro, con la conferma definitiva!

Il gioco che uscirà, la Mantic Games, tutti!
Ho visto che anche il prezzo sembra abbordabilissimo (29.99 sterline!)
Ci speravo già in tempi non sospetti :
TOPIC con l'intervista a Cavatore su Kings of War, in occasione del Lucca Comix.
Una cosa che mi entusiasmerebbe tantissimo sarebbe una dualità tra wargame e giochi da tavolo. Ci sono possibilità che la Mantic Games segua le orme della GW dei tempi d'oro, con giochi quali HeroQuest, StarQuest, Battle Masters ecc.?
....ma ammetto che non ci credessi più i tanto!
E ora si tratta di realtà!

Leggendo la piccola descrizione postata da Custode, pare che sarà uno scontro "razza contro razza", tra Nani e Non-Morti, piuttosto che un dungeon crawler dove un gruppo di eroi combatte contro il male!
Una previsione degli sviluppi futuri sembra quindi essere l'implementazione di altre razze!

Fonti molto vicine a Ronnie confermano le informazioni, anche se non era proprio necessario
.
La scatola conterrà
moduli stampati per creare il dungeon, miniature Mantic Games di nani e non-morti (non si sa se nuovi modelli, ma credo di no), e tutto il necessario per giocare (dadi ecc).
Pare che il format nani + non-morti sia solo iniziale, e che potrebbero esserci ulteriori scatole, chi lo sa. Il gioco sarà comunque estendibile aggiungendo altre miniature se non ho capito male.
Appena avrò ulteriori informazioni ve lo farò sapere!

After a quick call to Ronnie from Mantic Games, he has just confirmed the release of the first installment of the Mantic Dungeon Boardgame… Dwarf King’s Hold: Undead Rising
The game will include printed dungeon tiles, a slew of Mantic’s plastic miniatures and all the things you’ll need for an evenings dungeon-bashing with your mates.
This first installment of the game will feature Mantic’s Dwarf and Undead range. The stalwart Dwarves will be bringing their big hammers, while the sinister necromatic forces will be able to regenerate their losses and suck the life out of our diminutive hereos with their vampric magic.
But that’s not all we’ve heard…
The next installment of the game will feature the Elves and Dwarves and it’s been titled “Ancient Grudge“, this game will feature updated rules for ranged attacks and or course how to integrate the Elven host into your game.
This second set will be self contained or you can add it to your Undead Rising set, to make an even bigger dungeon, for twice the fun and perhaps even a three-way dungeon rumble!
Finally, there were some whispered references to the third game in the series… a game with a working title of “Green Tide“… that’s right guys!
ORCS!!!
Ronnie mentioned that this game [might] include rules for warmachines, but details are being kept under wraps while the contents of the game are finalised.

Pare che vogliano dare vita ad una "realtà parallela" a Kings of War, con delle sorta di scontri a bande in dungeon, stile boardgame!

Facendo il sunto del topic precedente, pare che si possa ottenere il seguente piano delle uscite :
- prima uscita a Marzo 2011, con Dwarf King’s Hold: Undead Rising, primo modulo del gioco da tavolo Mantic Games che vedrà uno scontro tra Nani e Non Morti, probabilmente non ci saranno le regole per le armi da tiro, che verranno implementate in seguito con un secondo modulo. Non è chiaro se si tratterà di una sorta di battaglia in stile boardgame/scacchistico, oppure un vero e proprio hero dungeon crawler, nel quale si guideranno, ad esempio, un gruppo di tot nani contro orde di nemici marcescenti. Non è nemmeno chiaro se vi saranno nuove miniature oppure no, troppo presto trarre conclusioni al momento!
- seconda uscita, data incognita, che stavolta aggiungerà gli Elfi alle due razze precedenti, oltre alle regole per il tiro leggero (dunque mi vien da pensare ad Archi, Archibugi, Balestre, ma forse anche magie.)
- terza uscita, ancora più incognita della seconda, che questavolta aggiungerà gli Orchi (i pelleverde) e, forse, regole specifiche per le macchine da guerra. Qualora questa ipotesi fosse confermata, è stata comunque anticipato che l'utilizzo di questi pezzi d'artiglieria sarà tutt'altro che massivo!

- Ottimo, già a Marzo! Non credo che vedremo nuove miniature, penso proprio che verranno inseriti degli sprue dalle scatole già esistenti.
- Spero che le regole saranno distribuite come quelle di Kings of War, e che non sia necessario prendersi la scatola con gli elfi per avere le regole aggiuntive!
- Come si possono inserire delle macchine da guerra in un contesto a dungeon? Potrebbe essere un indizio riguardo all'uscita degli orchi, che forse potranno avere un buon numero di macchine da guerra?

E' cosa certa che tutte le uscite saranno giocabili come verranno acquistate singolarmente, mentre non è sicuro, ma rimane probabile, il fatto che le 3 edizioni tematiche saranno unibili tra loro per creare avventure ancora più coinvolgenti!

Davvero tanta carne al fuoco, con questo video!!!
Lo stile Mantic Games che si percepisce dai loro filmati è sempre molto divertente, e qualora vi fosse bisogno di conferme, la parola BOARDGAME (gioco da tavolo) è ben sottolineata e fa bella mostra di se!
I tiles che si riescono ad intravedre, probabilmente in cartoncino e componibili a seconda degli scenari che giocheremo promettono bene!
Infine, pare che il game designer non sia Alessio Cavatore (già creatore di Kings of War), ma Jake Thornton, scrittore (o ex) di alcuni articoli per il White Dwarf!

Non solo, Jake Thornton (insieme a Rick Priestley) ha scritto il libro degli eserciti Orchi e Goblin per la sesta edizione di Warhammer!
